This is a seriously authentically flavoured oil, which was utterly delicious as an accompaniment dip for my bourbon maple red onion and feta sourdough bread (yes, this infused bread was made with one of the balsamics). The smokiness was the perfect intense-level for me personally, and it brought my appetiser to a whole new level. One of your best!

The Passion Fruit Jalapeño Fruit Vinegar from this set is the star of this delightful sorbet. It adds a zesty zing to the sweetness and tartness, creating a memorable treat to conclude any romantic meal.
Ingredients:
2 lbs. frozen strawberries, thawed and drained
1/4 cup Passion Fruit Jalapeño Fruit Vinegar
1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Pinch of Fleur de Sel
Garnish (optional) mint sprigs and minced, fresh jalapeño
Instructions
Prepare your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Place strawberries, vinegar, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a food processor and blend until smooth. Transfer the mixture to a medium saucepan and slowly heat over medium-low. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved, about five minutes, and remove from the heat. Place the mixture in the refrigerator and chill until completely cooled. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Once churned, remove from the ice cream maker, and freeze until firm, about 4-6 hours. Once firm, scoop and serve, garnishing with mint sprigs and jalapeño (optional).
