This is a seriously authentically flavoured oil, which was utterly delicious as an accompaniment dip for my bourbon maple red onion and feta sourdough bread (yes, this infused bread was made with one of the balsamics). The smokiness was the perfect intense-level for me personally, and it brought my appetiser to a whole new level. One of your best!

$19.95
FOG Smoked Carnaroli, crafted by Gli Aironi, undergoes a meticulous 14-hour smoking process using cherry wood, resulting in rice imbued with gentle woody nuances. Ideal for traditional risotto dishes, it adds a subtle smokiness, or simply simmer it in salted water, then elevate it with a drizzle of premium extra virgin olive oil to accompany meats, seafood, or vegetables. Gli Aironi, spanning five generations, has dedicated itself to enhancing agricultural practices in northern Italy's Vercelli region, promoting sustainable farming methods, and restoring the local ecosystem. Their rice undergoes minimal processing, preserving essential nutrients like protein and vitamins A, D, E, and K in the germ. This commitment to quality, aided by food scientist Michele Perinotti, has earned Gli Aironi rice the admiration of renowned chefs worldwide, including Jamie Oliver.
