Nocellara

Native to the area surrounding the valley of the Belice river in southwestern Sicily, Nocellara Del Belice olives are commonly known as Castelvetrano olives. Named for the area in which they are grown, they are some of the world’s best and most delicious olives due to the arid, but extremely fertile, soil of Castelvetrano. Our Nocellara Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a fine example of the very sought after, 100% pure and fresh Sicilian extra virgin olive oil. It is wonderfully delicate and aromatic, and exceptionally well-balanced. Nocellara has a sweet, floral and herbal aroma, but a spicy-herbaceous taste with bright hints of grass, green apple, mint, black pepper, and cinnamon.

Recommended Use

While Nocellara pairs very well with seafood, vegetables, and delicate greens, we are just as happy to enjoy it liberally drizzled over pieces of torn baguette rubbed with cloves of fresh garlic—if there’s anything better than that combination of olive oil, bread, and garlic, we can’t imagine it!
